What's still relevant

Building a culture where you're ready for inspection at any time, with learners' voices at the centre.
Giving learners with and without additional needs the same quality of experience, and aiming for no achievement gap.
Using your mission and values to engage staff, and self-assessing in small, regular chunks.
Practical tips for whoever liaises with the inspection team: preparing, routing information, delegating meetings and debriefing daily.

What's out of date

Ofsted grades (from 11:00). LDN describes being graded outstanding at its July 2021 inspection. Now: Since November 2025, Ofsted inspection reports have had no overall grade. Areas are graded on a five-point scale, from urgent improvement to exceptional.
The inspection framework (from 22:00). It works from the 2019 framework's grade descriptors, deep dives and the three I's of intent, implementation and impact. Now: The three I's are not a requirement of Ofsted's renewed framework, and inspectors now gather evidence mainly through professional conversation and joint activity with leaders.
Funding and registers (from 8:00). It describes LDN's route to its own ESFA contract and the Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers. Now: The ESFA closed in March 2025, and RoATP became the Apprenticeship Providers and Assessment Register (APAR) in August 2023.
