Cognassist welcomes Mark Care to growing commercial team
Cognassist, the UK’s number one EdTech startup, announces the arrival of Mark Care as Partnership Manager. Mark is one of five recent hires in the Cognassist commercial team, with more roles opening soon.
Mark brings extensive experience in the education and training sector spanning over a period of over 20 years. This experience includes operational assessing, quality assurance and teaching. Mark has also spent significant time in management and senior leadership of classroom learning, work-based learning and apprenticeships. This covers the majority of sector areas, including implementing the necessary change programmes to comply with the recent apprenticeship reforms, Ofsted and ESFA.
Mark’s previous senior roles includes those responsible for the quality of education and training, continuous improvement, subcontractor management, and contractual and funding compliance. Mark also worked as a part time Ofsted inspector over a two-year period.
Cognassist Chief Revenue Officer, Matthew Kelleher, says “We are absolutely thrilled to have Mark join the commercial team. His experience and knowledge will ensure that Cognassist can continue to expand and help as many learners as possible.”
Mark commented on his new role: “I am very excited to be joining Cognassist as it is such an innovative, successful and ambitious organisation, with a great culture. I have always been an advocate of education technology and the impact it can have on learners and staff within educational institutions. I have led the successful implementation of Cognassist within two organisations and have seen for myself how it can support learners in overcoming barriers to learning and support their progress towards their life and career goals.
Cognassist already has a strong grounding in the apprenticeship sector and I’m looking forward to building on this and growing our partnerships even further. Apprenticeships will play a key role in the post-COVID recovery so it’s really important that all learners receive the support they need and that we leave no learner behind.”
