Back in 2016, the World Economic Forum predicted that cognitive flexibility would be in the top 10 skills in the workforce for 2020. This has turned out to be more critical than anyone could have predicted!
As many of us return to work, we are all finding that we need to change how we work, and this isn’t easy for everyone. Increasing cognitive flexibility helps us to deal with the changing demands we all face at work and at home. Change is a learning curve, and the more skills we build to deal with change, the more we flatten this curve – see what we did there?
Change is unavoidable. Accepting this change, and adapting to it quickly, gives us an edge and allows us to become a driver for change in the future. We never stop learning, even throughout our later years. We want to encourage people to take up new learning goals and provide them with meaningful support along the way.
Using learning strategies

Improving learning skills
It doesn’t matter whether you’re a young learner looking to improve your skills or someone with 20+ years’ experience in your field, our brains never stop processing new information. We all need to be taking a proactive approach to improve our learning and understand our ways of thinking.
Why? You may ask. Because the human mind is the most complex structure in the known universe, more powerful than any supercomputer. All of us at Cognassist know just how transformative it can be to understand how our brains work. It helps us to become more aware of how we all experience the world and its challenges differently.
When we find ourselves in new and uncertain situations, having skills that help us navigate these situations can make all the difference to how we cope.
